The itsjusta6 YouTube channel pits a 1,100-hp twin-turbo Shelby GT350 against a GT500 with 1,300 hp and the results are truly impressive.

Although Carroll Shelby passed away in 2012, his name and brand continue to live on in several Ford products that continue to push the limits of automotive performance. However, some enthusiasts want to take that performance to the next level.

YouTube channel itsjusta6 tests out two seriously fast Ford Shelby Mustangs to see which one is faster and can ultimately outrun the other in a street race. The 2 pony cars are a 1,100-hp Shelby GT500 and a 1,300-hp twin-turbo Shelby GT350 called "Lucifer." Check out the video to see these two fast Fords battle it out and determine which one is ultimately faster.

The custom, gray camouflage-colored Ford GT350 is a 6-speed manual that will go against a red, Ford GT500 with a dual-clutch transmission. Before taking to the street to determine which is the faster Ford, they make some changes to the spark plugs in the GT350 and fill both cars with the exact same fuel so that neither has an advantage based on fuel grade. With the spark plugs ready and both gassed up, it's time to hit the road.

As they travel down a highway, they play around a bit with the performance features of both cars which are different given that they have different types of transmissions. As each car flexes its muscles a bit, they use the horn to designate the start of the race and begin from that point. With the GT350 in track mode, it easily beats the red GT500 in the initial race, a fact that surprises the drivers of both cars. The manual transmission did not hold the GT350 back as it sped past the GT500.

Additional tests ultimately produce the same result, with the GT350 consistently faster. In the series of races, the gray GT350 continues to outpace its red competitor which simply is not as fast. Later, after stopping at a gas station, they express their disbelief at the difference between the two cars and the consistency with which the GT350 ultimately proves to be faster. Before the video concludes, they head out for a final race between these two seriously fast Mustangs.

From the factory, the Shelby GT500 has a 5.2L supercharged V8 engine and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that outputs 760 hp and 625 lb-ft of torque. The GT350 leaves the Ford assembly line with a 5.2L Flat Plane Crank V8 that outputs 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Both cars come stock with some serious speed but the modifications done to increase the speed and power of the cars in this video add another level of intensity to the competition.
